Troop Trip to Baltimore and Annapolis

This year's bus trip will take us to Baltimore and Annapolis on March 29 to 30:
- Departure from the church at 7:30 AM, Saturday, March 29
- Visit Fort McHenry on Saturday morning
- Eat our own brown bag lunches on the grounds of the fort
- Visit the Maritime Museum, the Aquarium, and the Inner Harbor on Saturday afternoon
- Saturday dinner at a nearby restaurant
- One night in a hotel near Baltimore
- Saturday evening swim in the hotel pool
- Breakfast and Interfaith Service at the hotel on Sunday
- Eat our own brown bag lunches on the Annapolis campus
- Guided Tour of the US Naval Academy at Annapolis on Sunday
- Fast food stop on the way home
- Return to the church Sunday evening, March 30
The total price for the trip is $140 and includes: one night in the hotel, transportation, admissions, Saturday's dinner, breakfast on Sunday, and fast food on the way home Sunday night. We'll be riding in the church bus. A $50 deposit is due by our December party to reserve a spot, and the final payment of $90 will be due on March 10.
PAPERWORK REQUIRED
- Very Important: Adults need a Real ID, passport, or US Government ID to enter the Academy.
- Scouts need a copy of this BSA permission slip signed by a parent.
- Scouts who are bringing medications with them must also give them to an adult leader in their original container along with a copy of this Medication Administration Form signed by a parent.
- Scouts need parts A and B of the BSA Medical Record Form (we already have these for all our current members)
WHAT TO WEAR
- Class B Uniform (Scout pants, Scout socks, Scout belt, Troop 541 top) to be worn both days
- Comfortable Jacket appropriate for the weather
- Comfortable shoes suitable for a lot of walking
WHAT TO BRING
- Two brown bag lunches, one to eat Saturday, the other to put in a cooler for Sunday
- One soft bag. Please don't overpack since all of our luggage must fit in the bus with us. You'll want:
- Extra Class B uniform parts if you have them
- Layers of hoodies and jackets to adjust for temperature
- Bathing Suit
- Pajamas
- Two changes of underwear (that's one extra for Saturday evening if we get rain)
- Toothbrush, toothpaste, and any other toiletries you need
- Raingear
- Enough spending money to buy any souvenirs you might want
- A camera (optional)
